Beth Tweddle is inspiring a generation this Christmas!
It’s been an amazing year at Beth Tweddle’s Total Gymnastics and Gym Stars, and seeing the difference that our programme is making on children across the North West and beyond.
This Christmas, Beth wants to inspire more kids than ever to engage in sport, and to give them the same opportunity that she had when she started out in gymnastics.
As part of the 2017 Christmas campaign, we've spoken to some of our parents about what inspired their child the most when taking part in Beth Tweddle’s gymnastics programme this year, and why engaging them in sport is beneficial to their everyday life and development.
You can read what they said here.
It’s great to see our young gymnasts go from strength to strength, but it’s also super important that we teach personal values too.
Engaging in sport at a young age has so many benefits – it improves energy levels and mental wellbeing; but it also teaches some really crucial personal values.
When we spoke to Beth, she said: "Sport teaches you more than just the sport itself. It teaches you so many different life skills that can be transferred across. That can be team work, leadership, resilience, determination and social skills. Gymnastics taught me more than how to win a medal."
Have you ever tried to do something that at one stage feels impossible, and then you get it spot on, and for a few seconds you feel on top of the world?
As the year comes to an end and the festivies are upon us, we are as a team reflecting on the impact we've had on the lives of the kids on our programme and what part gymnastics has played in their development.
We want to use this to inspire even more children to take up gymnastics in 2018, and to have even greater impact on the wellbeing of young people in the UK!
We want to get families all over the UK inspired this Christmas, and if you haven’t already – 2018 is the year to engage your little one in sport. It really is never too early!
More details will be revealed soon...
