Jayenell Gymnastics Club Visit - October 2010

"Just a note to express a huge thank you to Beth and yourself for a truly amazing and memorable visit.  Thank you to you both for being so accommodating.  For Beth just returning from such an intensive competition, she was so fantastic with all our club members, who are truly appreciative and inspired.  You, too Emma were great with the younger children, which you voluntarily sat with, when they were becoming restless, thank you so much.

For me personally, it was wonderful to meet you both, all the chats and emails prior to this weekend, to then finally meeting you.  Think you are both lovely girls, great company.  Enjoyed our evening meal.  Was a little busy on Sunday co-ordinating different aspects of the timetable, so do apologise.  One was helping the caterer to carry the buffet to the bar, by doing so one of the pots of sauce leaked onto my jeans; in future will wear a waterproof apron!!

I appreciate you are both have very busy schedules but it would be great if our club could remain in touch with you.  Your visit has meant so much to everyone at Jayenell.

When asked by my PDM about hosting a gymnastics club within the Garston area of the City I jumped at the chance. The local club was oversubscribed with a 6 month waiting list, so the nearest open club was 5-10 miles away. One of my family schools being a Space for Sports and Arts had a fantastic facility that would benefit from the extra community usage so I brought it to their attention. The club offered the local children an opportunity to improve and develop gymnastics skills in a safe and secure environment. This would not have happened without the dedicated support and knowledge from Total Gymnastics staff and hopefully the club can continue to grow into a vibrant community gymnastics club for any child wanting to continue in the sport in their own time.
