Academies

Total Gymnastics and Beth Tweddle want to develop the wonderful sport of gymnastics and give young people the chance to get involved. This is a fabulous opportunity for beginners to experience gymnastics endorsed by Great Britain’s best ever gymnast and other gymnasts from the Great Britain team

The Total Gymnastics Academies provide opportunities for children aged 2-11 to get involved in gymnastics and learn the basic fundamental movements in a fun and safe environment.

We have a clear development pathway within our academies, starting with our Gym Stars programme which has been written by the experts at Total Gymnastics to give chiildren aged 2 - 8 the opportunity to learn the basic gymnastics movements in a fun and safe environment, using an interactive and child friendly rewards scheme. We also have our proficiency academies and these academies are based on the British Gymnastics Awards Schemes and enable children to achieve badges and certificates as they improve through our programme. Finally we have our "hub" academies in Liverpool which are for our more advanced gymnasts where they work on 4 pieces of apparatus, vault, bars, beam and floor and work towards the advanced proficiency awards, as well as taking part in in-house displays and competitions.
