Knowing MBE BETH TWEDDLE, Knowing us TOTAL GYMNASTICS!

Beth Tweddle won two gold medals at the women's European Gymnastics Championships in Birmingham.

Beth defended both of her European titles as she came first in the uneven bars and floor events - taking Britain's tally up to 15 medals in the whole competition.

Beth, who won European Championship gold on the uneven bars and floor in Milan 12 months ago, completed a flawless uneven bars routine which saw her triumph with a score of 15.875, winning by a margin of 0.825 for a third European title on her favourite apparatus. She then scored 14.825 with her floor routine to win the European championship.

British gymnasts now have five months before the 2010 World Championships, to be held in Rotterdam in October. Beth won world championship gold in 2006 and 2009, but is now focused on the Olympics. She said: "I'm still getting results but an Olympic medal is the only reason I'm carrying on. I've got so much to look back over my career and be happy with, but my one aim is an Olympic medal."

Beth has full support from the team here at Total Gymnastics and all of the budding young gymnasts she has in the Total Gymnastics Beth Tweddle Academies. Well done, Beth!
